| Established in 1952, with the original name of The Construction Engineering Company of Yantai Region, it was named Yantai City Construction Engineering Company in 1984 and was named YANTAI CONSTRUCTION GROUP CO., LTD. After the combination of Yantai City Construction Engineering Company and Yantai Construction Group in 2000. It is a state-owned large-size (first class) comprehensive enterprise which is engaging in building construction, industrial equipment installation, international project contracting, architectural design, road and bridge construction, new steel structure design and construction, decoration, real estate development, building technology research and development, as well as new building material development, commercial concrete supplying, flower and plant gardening, environmental protection industry, machine and tool leasing , property management and import and export trade etc. The corporation owns the capacity of being a general contractor in construction of houses, electromechanical equipment installation, and public works, nearly 30 kinds of professional contracting capacity, and the capacity of comprehensive architectural design and decoration design. It has also the capacity for Foreign Economic Cooperation in the PRC and the capacity for Enterprises with Foreign Trade Rights in the PRC. It has been awarded "Excellent National Construction Enterprise", "National Customers Satisfying Enterprise", "Excellent National Enterprise of Construction Quality Management", "National Enterprise of Observing Contract and Keeping Credit", and "Advanced National Enterprise of Construction Science and Technology" many times. The corporation has been successively awarded five "Luban Prize", the highest prize of china building industry, and other three silver medals and many high quality model projects of national level, and top quality prize of Shandong Province, "Taisan Cup Prize". In 1997 it passed the recognition of GB/T19001-ISO9001 quality management system, and at the beginning of 2003 the recognition of GB/T28001-OHSA18001 management system of occupational health and safety,and GB/T24001-ISO14001 environmental management system.The corporation is comprised of more than 30 affiliated companies and 20 branches.There are about 10,000 employees including 2,600 proffessional technicians and administrative peronnel with more than 500 of which have high or moddle-level technical titles.It has the construction capacity up to 3,600,000 m2 with its annual production of nearly 4 billion RMB.
